Foundation and development of our educational initiative in Sunyani, Ghana
In 2015, the organization was launched by Ansu Yeboah to provide free education to needy children in Sunyani, Ghana. What initially started as a small project quickly developed into an important educational institution in the region.
The organization initially started as a kindergarten with only 10 children. However, due to high demand and the growing need for quality education, the institution grew rapidly. Today, a few years after we were founded, we proudly look after over 200 children from the age of 6 months to the end of primary school (grade 6).
The growth and success of our facility would not have been possible without the dedicated staff. Our team currently includes two headmistresses, 18 educators, teachers, two kitchen workers, a driver and a cleaner. Together we work every day to offer the children in Sunyani a solid and free educational foundation that will give them a better future.
Short-Term Goals
– Purchasing a bus so that all children can get to school without any problems.
Children from poor families cannot come regularly at the moment because there are no transport options or the families cannot pay for them.
– Account-free school attendance for children in need with optimal support for all children.
In Ghana, kindergarten and school must be paid for by parents. It is particularly important to us that the joy Stars School is open to children from poor families in particular, which is why these children are able to attend the facility without an account.
– arrange sponsorships for individual children.
Sponsors can cover the costs associated with a specific child’s school attendance and receive regular feedback on the sponsored child’s development.
The selection of needy children is viewed with great concern locally.
Long-term goals
– Acquisition of land and construction of a new, larger and well-equipped school.
The currently rented building is slowly becoming too small for the number of students.
General goals
– Appropriate pay for the committed and well-trained teachers and educators.
– Cooperation with foreign helpers.

2019: Möglichkeit durch Menschlichkeit
Thanks to the generous donation from the association “Möglichkeit durch Menschlichkeit e.V., in Germany, Share with Ghana e.V. was now able to buy a car that collects the children in the morning and brings them home again in the afternoon, so that all children have a reliable and safe route to school!
2020: Möglichkeit durch Menschlichkeit
In 2020, the Möglichkeit durch Menschlichkeit association once again sponsored a great children’s playground for our school, the Joy Stars School in Sunyani, Ghana.
